Terms of Use

Effective Date:
July 18, 2026
Product:
Scripty Editor
Company:
Montoro6 Holdings LLC

These Terms of Use govern your use of Scripty Editor (dba Scripty), a product of Montoro6 Holdings LLC.

By using Scripty, you agree to these Terms.

What Scripty is

Scripty is a browser-based screenplay editor that lets you write, open, save, and export scripts.

Scripty is designed as a local-first tool. Your scripts are saved in your browser on your device unless you choose to export or share them.

No account required

You do not need an account to use Scripty.

Some future features may require an account or additional terms, but the core editor can be used without signing up.

Your work

You own the scripts and writing you create in Scripty.

Montoro6 Holdings LLC does not claim ownership of your scripts.

Because Scripty is local-first, your script content is not uploaded to Scripty's servers as part of normal use.

Local storage and backups

Scripty saves scripts in your browser's local storage.

You are responsible for exporting and backing up any scripts you want to keep.

Scripty may lose access to locally saved scripts if:

  • you clear browser storage or site data
  • you use private browsing
  • your browser deletes local data
  • your device is lost, damaged, reset, or replaced
  • you switch browsers or devices
  • local storage is blocked or unavailable

We strongly recommend exporting backups regularly.

File imports and exports

Scripty may allow you to open or export formats such as .fdx, PDF, Plain Text, or Scripty JSON.

File import and export features are provided for convenience. We do not guarantee that formatting, pagination, or conversion will be perfect in every file.

PDF import, if available, may be experimental or beta and may not be 100% accurate.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Scripty to:

  • violate any law
  • infringe someone else's rights
  • upload, distribute, or create malicious code
  • interfere with or disrupt the service
  • attempt to reverse engineer or attack the product
  • use the product in a way that harms Scripty, Montoro6 Holdings LLC, or other users

Availability

Scripty may change, break, be updated, or be discontinued at any time.

We may add, remove, or modify features without notice.

We do our best to make Scripty useful and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service or perfect functionality.

Beta features

Some Scripty features may be labeled beta, experimental, or in progress.

Beta features may be incomplete, inaccurate, unstable, or changed later. Use them at your own risk and keep backups of your work.

No professional advice

Scripty is a writing tool. It does not provide legal, business, financial, or professional advice.

Disclaimer of warranties

Scripty is provided “as is” and “as available.”

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Montoro6 Holdings LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Montoro6 Holdings LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of data, lost profits, lost scripts, or lost opportunities.

Because Scripty stores scripts locally in your browser, you are responsible for backing up your work.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Scripty changes. When we do, we will update the effective date above.

Your continued use of Scripty means you accept the updated Terms.
