What Scripty stores locally

Scripty saves your scripts in your browser on your device using local browser storage.

This means your scripts are stored locally in the browser you are using. You can write online or offline, and your work can remain available in that browser unless you clear your browser data, use private browsing, switch devices, or delete your local Scripty data.

We recommend exporting backups of any scripts you want to keep.

Your scripts

Scripty does not upload your script content to Scripty's servers.

Your writing stays private on your device and is not shared with Scripty unless you choose to send it to us directly, such as by emailing us for support or feedback.

No account required

You do not need to create an account to use Scripty.

Because Scripty does not require an account, we do not collect login credentials, passwords, or account profile information.

Email updates

If you choose to enter your email address, we will use it to send you Scripty updates, product news, feature announcements, and occasional feedback requests.

We use third-party email tools, including Resend, to help send these emails.

You can unsubscribe from Scripty emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us.

What we may collect

Depending on how Scripty is hosted and used, we may collect limited technical information such as:

• basic usage or analytics data

• pages visited

• crash or error information

This information helps us improve Scripty, fix bugs, and understand how people use the product. We do not use this information to read your scripts.

Clearing local data

Because your scripts are saved locally in your browser, clearing your browser storage, site data, cache, or using certain privacy settings may delete locally saved scripts.

Before clearing Scripty data or browser storage, export any scripts you want to keep.

Scripty is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy as Scripty changes. When we do, we will update the effective date above.
